2012/09 - Trade Justice

Find out what ‘Trade Justice’ actually means:

What steps can you take to help the cause of trade justice? Unless you are a politician or involved in drafting international trade agreements, there may be little you can directly do to improve matters. However, there are ways to put pressure on those who are making these decisions.
Suggestions:
Sign up for the ActionAid newsletter for suggested activities:

or sign their latest Trade Justice petition:

Write to your local MP about any of these issues:

On a smaller scale, we can help to improve the lives of producers in developing countries by buying Fair Trade certified products or try out a few fair trade recipes. Look out for products that are not stocked by your local shops and write them a letter to see if they would sell them.
